Below are some frameworks/rubrics that can help you to guide your teaching skills and how you might approach giving a presentation and teaching in general.
Teaching Skills Evaluation Rubric:
Topic scope: The scope of the presentation was appropriate to the allotted amount of time. The presenter limited the scope to allow for depth and richness.
Relevance of topic: The choice of material was relevant to the learners
Goals/Objectives: Goals and Objectives were clearly outlined to orient the audience
Facilitation skills: The 5 clinical microskills were used in facilitation (Get a commitment, probe for evidence, teach general rules, and reinforce what was done well, correct mistakes)
Assessment of learners: The presenter used methods to assess learners understanding.
Engagement of learners: The presentation actively engaged participants.
Presentation modalities: Presentation modalities used were effective (e.g. if using powerpoint, slides were engaging, not overly wordy, if using small groups, instructions were clear, etc.)
Take Home Points: A method of reviewing take home points was used to solidify learning.
